Reiki, pronounced ray-key, is a Japanese energy healing practice that channels universal life force energy to restore balance and well-being. Rooted in ancient traditions, Reiki is similar to concepts like Qi (Chi), Prana, and Mana—energies that exist in all things.
While Reiki does not replace medical treatment, it has been found to be beneficial for physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. Whether used for stress relief, emotional healing, or energy clearing, Reiki empowers the recipient to welcome healing and restore the natural flow of energy within the body.
How Reiki Works
Reiki healing works by channeling energy through the hands of a practitioner, who places them lightly on or just above the body. This energy flows through the chakras and meridian system, promoting deep relaxation, energy realignment, and healing at multiple levels.
Sessions typically last 45 minutes to an hour.
Reiki can be done in-person or remotely, as energy is not limited by distance.

Become a Reiki Practitioner
Interested in learning Reiki for yourself, your family, or as part of a professional healing practice? Becoming a Reiki practitioner involves two essential elements:
- Education – Learning the principles of Reiki, how to conduct a session, and how to work with energy responsibly.
- Attunement – A sacred process where a Reiki Master opens your energy channels, attuning you to the universal Reiki flow.
During attunement, your crown, heart, and palm chakras are opened and aligned to receive Reiki energy. Many students describe this as a deeply personal and transformational experience.
There are three levels of Reiki attunement:
First Degree Reiki (Level 1)
The first level of Reiki connects the individual to universal life force energy. This initiation is often compared to tuning in a radio—the frequencies have always been there, but now you have access to them.
At this level, students learn:
- The first Reiki symbol and how to use it.
- Basic hand positions for self-healing and healing others.
- How to channel energy safely and effectively.

Second Degree Reiki (Level 2)
The second level deepens the Reiki connection, expanding the practitioner's ability to work with higher levels of energy and advanced techniques.
In this level, students will learn:
- Additional Reiki symbols to enhance healing.
- How to perform distance healing.
- Techniques for mental and emotional energy healing.
Master Level Reiki (Level 3)
- The Master Level is divided into two parts—Mastery and Teaching.
- Mastery Training: After gaining experience and demonstrating dedication to Reiki, students receive advanced techniques to elevate their practice.
- Teaching Training: Those who wish to train and attune others will receive guidance on how to pass Reiki attunements and lead their own students.
- Becoming a Reiki Master is a commitment to deep personal growth, requiring both practical experience and energetic alignment.
The 21-Day Clearing Process
After each attunement, students go through a 21-day energy clearing process. During this time, the body adjusts to its new energetic flow, often releasing old emotional patterns, toxins, and energetic blockages.
This process can be intense, but it is a vital part of stepping into the role of a healer. Meditation, hydration, and self-care are recommended during this time.
Learn Reiki with Sammi
Unlike many programs that separate attunements with long waiting periods, Sammi’s Reiki course offers a balanced, immersive approach that ensures students receive the tools, confidence, and experience needed to become effective Reiki practitioners.

Reiki Levels 1 & 2 – Hybrid Course
Sammi’s Reiki course is a hybrid training, blending online preparation with an immersive in-person weekend of deep learning, hands-on practice, and attunements.
Course Structure
Pre-Class Assignments (Online) – Before the in-person training, students will receive reading materials, guided exercises, and insightful activities to assist lay the foundation for Reiki practice.
- In-Person Weekend Experience – The live portion is held over a weekend:
- Friday – Introduction to Reiki and its history.
- Saturday – First Degree Reiki training and attunements.
- Sunday – Second Degree Reiki training and attunements.
Each weekend is structured to accommodate the collective energy and needs of the group, ensuring a powerful and transformative experience. Students will engage in:
- Guided meditations
- Hands-on healing practice
- Discussions and demonstrations
- Personalized mentorship
This course is designed to be a full Reiki retreat experience rather than just another training class.
Class sizes are small (maximum of 8 students) to ensure personalized attention.
Classes are scheduled when there are at least three students ready to begin.

Master Level Reiki Training
Once you are attuned to Level 2, you may choose to continue toward Reiki Mastery and Teaching Attunements.
- Master Level requires a minimum of one year of experience practicing Reiki at Level 2.
- Training includes service hours, teaching practice, and an apprenticeship under Sammi.
- Students will be mentored in advanced Reiki techniques and how to attune new students.
- Master training is an individualized journey and will be tailored to the student’s needs and readiness.
